Rev. Robin Reiter is a native Floridian, born and raised here in Venice. She attended the University of Florida, where she received a Master of Education degree. She taught elementary school in north Florida for five years before hearing the call to ministry. Robin worked as an apprentice under her mother at Unity Center for Positive Living in Nashville for two years and then was accepted into Unity School for Religious Studies. She graduated and was ordained as a Unity minister in June of 2002. She served as senior minister at Unity Center of Vero Beach, Florida from 2002 to 2008. She then founded Sacred Abundance Ministries and spent the next 4 years traveling all over the country speaking, teaching and training and helping thousands awaken to the magnificence of their divinity.
In the fall of 2012, Robin felt a strong pull to return to Venice and work alongside her mother in the church they both call home. Robin served Unity of Venice as Associate Minister for 3 years and was hired as the Senior Minister in November 2015. Robin has worked to vastly expand the church’s community outreach programs and Unity of Venice is now making an impact by helping the environment, supporting foster children, feeding needy families and, through Family Promise of South Sarasota County, providing food and housing to families with children that are temporarily without a place to live.
Robin’s mission is to support people in experiencing deep healing, powerful transformation and a sense of belonging. She brings passion, humor, wisdom and depth to her Sunday messages as well as her classes, workshops and retreats. One congregant said to her “You are a soulful, unpretentious, radiant and sincere teacher!”
Outside of ministry Robin loves to travel, loves to dance and is an avid football fan and gourmet cook. She shares her life with her wife Linda, and their cats Shiloh and Gracie.
